La Opinion saw and heard our presentation with Supervisor Solis and did a full spread on us and we included our latest partners, The Garage. We share similar approaches to our community and having both Supervisor Solis and La Opinion help spread awareness of us and what we do is huge for us. La Opinion is the largest Spanish newspaper in the United States and the second most read in LA behind the LA Times. To have them take time to send someone to interview us is humbling
ITM had the distinct honor to be invited for a live interview between County Supervisor Solis, one of the youth from the Youth at Work Program and ITM as a success story for the Program. We were not given much time to prepare, but we do this everyday, so it was fun to chat on a live platform and let everyone know about us and what we do. Our collaboration continues to grow. We enjoy working with like minded organizations. In this initiative, we have found a way for us to be stronger combined and working towards a common purpose. We help out also with our volunteers and the community benefits from the food distribution. The way it should be.
One of our mentors is passionate about plant based eating and has been developing a full menu of amazing goodness. She can practice her techniques and recipes at our location and the youth are fortunate to be able to see and experience the work as well as the delicious finished plates. Amazing flavors, beautiful and tasty.
